This section gives general information on what you need to do to invest on behalf of a child and also provides links to information on the Family Investments Child Trust Fund.
| Investing on behalf of a child |

You can invest a lump sum or make regular savings on behalf of a child. The fund holding will be registered in your name and designated with the child's initials. It cannot be held directly by a child under 18. Once that age is reached, however, the holding can be transferred into the child's name.

Although New Star does not offer a Child Trust Fund (CTF) account, New Star Institutional Managers Limited is the investment adviser to the Family Investments' CTF account, which is available direct from Family Investments.
