New Star appoints Clare Bryant to manage the Ne...
New Star Investment Funds is pleased to announce that Clare Bryant will take over management of the award-winning New Star European Portfolio from Mark Harris, New Star's head of funds of funds. Clare, who has been an integral part of New Star's fund of funds team since May 2002, will commence her role from 2 April 2007.
Clare's appointment is in recognition of her proven expertise in the field of European fund of funds management. Clare will continue to work closely with Mark Harris and this will ensure a seamless transition for investors in the New Star European Portfolio.
Clare's appointment will allow Mark to focus more closely on the management of the New Star Tactical Portfolio, Active Portfolio, Balanced Portfolio, Managed Portfolio, American Portfolio and Asia Portfolio.
Mark Harris, head of funds of funds at New Star, says;
"Clare has an incredible aptitude for fund of funds management and, having worked with her for five years, I have every confidence she will continue the fund's strong performance. Her meticulous attention to research and analysis and her ability to pick out the best funds and fund managers has earned her the right to manage this fund."
