New Star recruits Dan Ford as director of product development

New Star Investment Funds is delighted to announce that Dan Ford will be joining New Star in January 2008. Prior to joining New Star, Dan was responsible for authorisation of collective investment schemes at the Financial Services Authority.

Dan, who has eight years' experience in regulating UK collective investments, will take on the role of director of product development and management for New Star's retail business. Dan will report to Stewart Cazier, managing director, retail business development. He will be working closely with Jo Franklin, director, product, to develop further New Star’s UK and international retail businesses.

Since launch in July 2001, New Star has expanded its retail product range from two funds to 39 funds. New Star's retail product range now includes UK and international equity growth funds, UK equity income funds, bond funds, UK and international property funds, specialist funds, funds of investment trusts and funds of funds. New Star's strong retail presence has been achieved through a combination of organic growth and acquisition. Retail assets under management now exceed £11 billion*.
