Having developed formidable expertise in both global and US equity markets, Mark oversees New Star's US investments. Mark joined New Star Institutional Managers* in 1982. Mark holds a BA in Economic History from the University of Sussex.

Ian Beattie has specialised in Asian equities for 16 years and has been Head of Asian excluding Japan funds for New Star Institutional Managers* for more than nine years. Before joining New Star, Ian worked at Royal Insurance Asset Management as a fund manager where he was responsible for a variety of Far East portfolios. Ian holds a BSc in Economics from City University.

Tim Bray joined New Star Institutional Managers* in 1985 from Coutts & Company. He has 19 years' investment experience. Tim is chairman of New Star's institutional asset allocation committee and a member of the institutional investment policy committee. Brian Coffey has worked at New Star Institutional Managers* for 20 years. He is responsible for research and stock selection in Latin America and managing New Star's emerging markets portfolios. Brian holds a BSc in Financial Economics from the University of London.

Anna Kirk, Head of US client services, has been with the firm for over 20 years*. Prior to taking on her client service role, Anna was Head of Institutional and Offshore Client Administration. Previous experience includes JP Morgan Investment Management, Bank of America and Lloyds Bank International.

Richard Lewis, European excluding the UK equity fund manager, has 21 years' European investment management experience. He joined New Star Institutional Managers* in 1989 from Capel-Cure Myers Capital Management. Richard holds a BSc in Economics and Statistics from Bristol University.

Simon Ward is Global Strategist as well as Head of Research for the institutional business and a member of the institutional business investment policy committee and currency group at New Star. He has 25 years' experience of financial markets. Prior to joining New Star Institutional Managers*, he was senior economist with Lombard Street Research. Simon holds a Masters in Economics and Finance from the University of London.
