The Dublin-domiciled New Star European Growth Fund has won the Lipper Fund Award Equity Europe ex UK over three years at the Lipper Fund Awards held in Zurich, Switzerland. The fund has been honoured for delivering a consistently strong risk-adjusted performance relative to its peers over a three year period.
In the three years to 29 December 2006, the fund delivered a performance of 102.2% compared to 77.4% of the benchmark FTSE World Europe ex-UK TR and had a size of €1.5bn.** The fund manager, Richard Pease, has achieved this by applying a strict bottom-up stock selection process focused on alpha generation.
The fund is rated AAA by Standard & Poor's, the highest possible quality rating. Richard Pease is rated AAA by Citywire, the highest possible fund manager rating.**
