02.01.2008

New Star is delighted to announce that it has won two individual fund categories and the prestigious overall award for Best Multi-Manager Group at the 2007 Professional Adviser Awards. In addition to the group award, the New Star Tactical Portfolio won Best International Multi-Manager Fund and the New Star American Portfolio won Best Specialist Multi-Manager Fund.

These awards follow strong performance across the New Star fund of funds range. Of the seven New Star funds of funds with a five-year track record, six are in the first quartile of their respective IMA sectors*.

The Professional Adviser Multi-Manager Awards recognise excellence within the multi-manager arena. The nominees were selected from a shortlist drawn from an initial quantitative process looking at three-year performance to 31 October 2007. The winners were selected by a panel of independent judges.

Ben Robinson, UK Press Officer at New Star, says: "To be nominated for so many awards and to win three, including best multi-manager group 2007, is testament to the strong and consistent long-term track record of Mark Harris, Craig Heron and the New Star fund of funds team."
