
Gregor Logan, joint chief investment officer and fund manager, joined New Star in 2004. He has 30 years' investment experience. Gregor was previously chief investment officer of Pavilion Asset Management and MGM Assurance, prior to which he worked for 13 years at Fidelity International. Gregor holds an LLB in Law from Edinburgh University.

Mark Beale, New Star's Deputy chief investment officer, has 22 years' investment experience. Having developed formidable expertise in both global and US equity markets, Mark oversees New Star's US investments. Mark joined New Star Institutional Managers* in 1982. Mark holds a BA in Economic History from the University of Sussex.

Brian Coffey has worked at New Star Institutional Managers* for 20 years. He is responsible for research and stock selection in Latin America and managing New Star's emerging markets portfolios. Brian holds a BSc in Financial Economics from the University of London.

Guy has 13 years' investment experience, specialising in global financial equities as well as in Asian and Latin American markets. He joined New Star in 2001 from Jupiter Asset Management.

Greg Kerr, US equity fund manager, has 17 years' investment experience. Prior to joining New Star in 2006, Greg worked for M&G, where he was involved in the creation of the specialist global team. Greg holds a BSc in Physics & Philosophy from Leeds University and a PGCE from Cambridge University.

Hitesh Thakrar joined New Star’s technology team in July 2004. His primary expertise lies in identifying global macroeconomic trends to identify opportunities across global sectors. Previously, he held senior investment positions at Morley Fund Management, Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein and Fleming (JP Morgan). He holds a BSc from King’s College in London, an MBA from Cranfield School of Management and has earned the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
