Mark Harris heads the New Star fund of funds team. Mark has 21 years' investment management experience, having previously held management roles at Edinburgh Fund Managers and HSBC. In addition to managing the team's activities, Mark focuses on devising investment strategy for the underlying funds and assessing fund recommendations. Mark holds a BA in Economics and Law from Newcastle University.
Craig Heron has 12 years' experience in the investment management industry, having previously been head of managed funds research at Edinburgh Fund Managers. He joined New Star in 2003. Craig holds a BSc in Actuarial Mathematics and Statistics from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh.
Robert Jeffree joined the New Star fund of funds team in 2006 as a fund analyst, before becoming a fund manager of the New Star Asia Portfolio on 2 January 2008. Robert has 12 years' investment experience and joined New Star from Principal Investment Management, where he was a managed funds analyst. Prior to this, Robert spent six years at McKinsey & Co. as an analyst and strategic consultant specialising in European asset management.
Clare Bryant joined the New Star fund of funds team in 2003 as an analyst, having previously worked at Edinburgh Fund Managers. She has six years investment experience and assumed responsibility for the management of the New Star European Portfolio on 2 April 2007. The New Star fund of funds team was voted 'Best Multi-Manager Group 2008' at the Professional Adviser Awards.
