S&P ratings


Standard & Poor's ratings end September 2008

Less than 20% of funds achieve an S&P fund management rating, graded AAA (highest quality), AA (very high) and A (high). These ratings are based on the funds investment process and management's consistency of approach.

A bond fund volatility rating is a current opinion of a fixed-income investment fund's sensitivity to changing market conditions, relative to the risk of a portfolio composed of government securities. Bond funds are rated V1, low sensitivity to changing market conditions, to V6, highest sensitivity to changing market conditions.
