Simon Akroyd has 20 years' experience in the City. He joined Cazenove in 1987, working initially as a UK smaller companies broker and then as an institutional salesman in New York. Simon became a private client fund manager in 1996 and was promoted to become fund director and head of the private unit trust desk, with responsibility for substantial global client assets. He was recruited by Aberdeen Asset Management in 2001 and he joined New Star Asset Management in June 2003 tasked with launching and building up a private client business.
Rupert Bonsor has two years' experience in the financial services business. On joining New Star in January 2004 Rupert worked on the Investment Services desk, where he was responsible for supporting the South West sales director and dealing with the intermediary market. He joined the Private Client desk in September 2004 as desk assistant.
