Rating upgraded from ‘AA’
Less than 20% of funds achieve a Standard & Poor’s rating of any kind – ‘AAA’ (highest quality), ‘AA’ (very high) or ‘A’ (high)
The New Star UK Growth Fund, managed by Stephen Whittaker, has delivered first quartile performance – top 25% of its peer group – since Stephen took over management of the fund on 26 July 2002. During this period the fund returned 98.6%* compared to the IMA UK All Companies sector average of 87.7%*.

Stephen joined New Star in July 2002 from Invesco Perpetual, where he was Head of UK Retail Investment and managed the top-performing Invesco Perpetual UK Growth Fund. The New Star UK Growth Fund aims to seek long-term capital growth principally through investment in the securities of UK companies.
