
Stephen Whittaker is Joint Chief Investment Officer at New Star. With 27 years' experience in the investment industry, Stephen built his reputation at Invesco Perpetual. He joined New Star in 2002. Stephen holds an LLB in Law from the University of Manchester.

Gregor Logan, Joint Chief Investment Officer and fund manager, joined New Star in 2004. He has 30 years' investment experience. Gregor was previously chief investment officer of Pavilion Asset Management and MGM Assurance, prior to which he worked for 13 years at Fidelity International. Gregor holds an LLB in Law from Edinburgh University.

Mark Beale, New Star's Deputy chief investment officer, has 22 years' investment experience. Having developed formidable expertise in both global and US equity markets, Mark oversees New Star's US investments. Mark joined New Star Institutional Managers* in 1982. Mark holds a BA in Economic History from the University of Sussex.

Richard Lewis, European excluding the UK equity fund manager, has 21 years' European investment management experience. He joined New Star Institutional Managers* in 1989 from Capel-Cure Myers Capital Management. Richard holds a BSc in Economics and Statistics from Bristol University.

John Mould has 18 years' experience in finance, accounting and operations. He joined New Star in 2005 from Morgan Stanley International, where he was London head of firm-wide operational risk. Previously he was executive director of finance at Morgan Stanley Europe, where he was responsible for management information and reporting.

Charles Tritton joined New Star in July 2002 from HSBC Investment Bank where he worked for 13 years, latterly as head of alternative investments and prior to that as head of equity derivatives.
Simon Hillenbrand has worked in the investment industry for 13 years. Before joining New Star he was a regional sales manager for Invesco Fund Managers. Prior to this he worked for Deutsche Asset Management, initially in broker services and then as a regional sales manager covering the South West.

Mark Hilliam, who has 24 years' experience in the investment industry, joined New Star in May 2001. Previously he was head of retail sales at Norwich Union Investment Funds. Prior to this he worked at Baring Asset management for 12 years.

Richard Wilson, who has 21 years' experience in the investment industry, started his career at Save and Prosper. He then moved to Prolific Unit Trust Managers and joined the executive team at Aberdeen Asset Management following its acquisition of Prolific. Prior to joining New Star, he was Aberdeen's UK and European marketing director.

Ravi Anand joined New Star in June 2001. Prior to joining New Star he was a director in HSBC's equity capital markets business. He worked for HSBC for five years after working in business development at Robert Fleming & Co. and qualifying as a chartered accountant at KPMG.
Jonathan Bloom has 14 years' experience in corporate law. He joined New Star in 2008 from Woolworths Group, where he was company secretary between 2001 and 2008, having previously been company secretary at VCI. After studying law at Manchester University, he joined Norton Rose, where he trained and practised as a corporate lawyer.
