Henderson completes acquisition of New Star

On 30 January 2009, Henderson Group plc (Henderson Group) announced its offer for New Star Asset Management Group PLC (New Star). Following shareholder and regulatory approval, the acquisition completed on 9 April 2009.

Immediate benefits and an end to uncertainty

The acquisition brings a number of benefits to clients of both New Star and Henderson Global Investors (Henderson). The immediate good news for investors in New Star funds is that they need no longer worry about New Star's financial stability or further corporate uncertainty.
